You'll be sedated just enough to be unaware of your treatment. At the completion of our care,
you'll feel relaxed and comfortable. You'll discover how quickly and easily years of neglect can
be corrected. We can replace crowns or missing teeth, extract wisdom teeth, treat gum disease,
whiten yellow or stained teeth, repair a chipped tooth, and more. People with severe anxiety or
just very busy schedules can receive the dental care they need, easily, quickly and comfortably.
Dr. Coles has trained with some of the world's most prominent sedation dental specialists. He
will provide exceptional dental care in a safe, caring, relaxed environment where you will feel
loved and appreciated.
Oral Sedation
You are given a small pill to take an hour prior to your dental appointment. Your companion
will accompany you to the office. By the time you arrive, you will be very drowsy. When you arrive
in our office, you will be escorted into a comfortable room, covered with a thick, warm blanket
and have your vital signs monitored. After you are comfortable, Dr. Coles or Dr. Jorgensen and the
experienced clinical team at Total Care Dental will take care of your dental needs. When your
treatment is completed, your companion will return you home to finish your comfortable, relaxing day.
Complex dental treatments that often require six to eight appointments can be done in as little
as one visit! All while you relax. People who have difficulty getting numb will find that sedation
dentistry eliminates this problem. Sedation dentistry is a safe way to reduce the fatigue of extended
dental care requiring long visits.
I.V. Sedation
When you visit our office for IV Sedation you will be warmly welcomed and you should feel c
onfident that your comfort and safety is our primary concern. Dr. Coles has extensive training and
experience in the administration of anesthesia. He and his team are always with you to monitor your
vital signs and keep you comfortable.
Most people are able to have intravenous sedation. There are some medical conditions that do,
however, rule it out as an option. As part of your consultation, the doctor will review your medical
history and discuss the different anesthesia options with you.
The sedative used produces, in most people, a very strong feeling of deep relaxation
and well-being. Even the most highly anxious individuals can be treated successfully using this
technique. Most people experience either full or partial memory loss of the dental procedures being
performed, which most patients love. As with oral sedation, you will need a companion to accompany
you home after the completion of your care.
