About Dr. Daniel Coles & Dr. Michelle Jorgensen

Have you ever wanted to get to know your dentist before trusting them with your smile?

Before opening Total Dental Care in 2001, the father/daughter team of Dr. Daniel B. Coles and Dr. Michelle C. Jorgensen were both members of thriving dental practices. They found, however, that they wanted something different and better for their patients.

With Total Dental Care they have created a dental practice that people can truly enjoy visiting—a practice that specializes in delivering excellent dental care with a special attention to personal service every day.

For both doctors, dentistry is not only their profession—it is their hobby and their passion as well!

Dr. Coles

Dr. Coles received an undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University in 1974, then received his dental degree from Emory University School of Dentistry in 1978. For the next 23 years he had a busy private practice in rural Utah, performing all types of dentistry.

During this time, Dr. Coles continued to keep abreast of current dental techniques and materials through countless hours of continuing dental education. He completed a mini residency in dental implants and surgery. He studied with many top dental leaders: bio progressive orthodontics with Robert Ricketts and advanced orthodontic techniques with Drs. Cetlin, Hilgers, Brehm, Giannello, and others.

Dr. Coles has completed a fellowship and also the requirements for mastership for the Academy of General Dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Utah Dental Association, the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.

He is certified for Invisalign invisible braces and is trained in speed orthodontics. For 15 years, he has served as a CRA (Clinical Research Associates) evaluator of dental services and equipment.

Dr. Coles has been married to Sue Coles for 32 years. They have one daughter and four sons. His daughter is a partner in the practice, one son is taking a residency in orthodontics and another is in his first year of dental school. Another son will be starting dental school in the fall of 2004. The couple’s other son is in marketing and advertising.

Dr. Coles is an avid runner and has participated in the St. George, Utah marathon 20 times. He ran the Boston Marathon in 2003.

Dr. Jorgensen

Dr. Michelle C. Jorgensen attended Brigham Young University for undergraduate studies, then graduated with her dental degree from Creighton University in 1997. She practiced in a successful Utah Valley practice - Timpanogos Dental, until 2001.

Following her father's example, she has been very involved in continuing education. She has learned from dental leaders throughout the country, in areas such as porcelain veneers, conservative dental bonding and other cosmetic dental procedures. She has completed a five-part continuum on dental occlusion and rehabilitative dentistry, learning to treat jaw and bite problems and rebuild healthy mouths. She is also a graduate of Dental Boot Kamp- a program emphasizing communication and patient care.

Dr. Jorgensen has completed the requirements for a fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. She is also actively involved in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and evaluates new products in the dental field for CRA (Clinical Research Associates). She serves as a guest lecturer in the Brigham Young University pre-dental program and a Crest-sponsored speaker about the impact of a smile on women’s lives.

Dr. Jorgensen is also featured on a weekly segment on Healthy Wealthy WOW reality radio for women.

Dr. Jorgensen has been married to Steve Jorgensen for 12 years, and they have twin five year old boys - Jens and Josh. Steve is a Civil Engineer, and currently serves as the office manager at Total Care Dental. Dr. Jorgensen loves to garden and cook - her family wonders if she will ever cook the same thing twice! Her latest hobby is yoga.

	Steve ~ Office Manager Steve has been around dentistry for seven years. He attended Brigham Young University and graduated with a bachelor's degree, then went on to obtain a Master's Degree from the University of Nebraska. He has been married to Dr. Michelle Jorgensen for 12 years and has two 6-year-old twin boys. He enjoys golfing, the outdoors, and spending time with family.
	Cinda ~ Scheduling Coordinator Cinda has been around dentistry for 7 years. She graduated from the American Institute of Medical Technology. Cinda has recently found a new love: single life. She enjoys being around people, doing any water sports, traveling, and dentistry (of course). Above all she loves spending time with her three wonderful children—Braydon, Jada, and Tyler.
	Lori ~ Scheduling and Treatment Coordinator Lori has been in dentistry for over 15 years. She is happily married to Stan and has three children. Lori and her family love to go four-wheeling in Moab. She loves all sorts of outdoor activities and loves to tease her family.
	Margot ~ Treatment Coordinator Margot has been around dentistry for 15 years. She has been married for 16 years and has three children. She enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, camping, and traveling. She enjoys tennis, floral arranging (which she still does in her spare time), food, and finding fun restaurants.
	Cari ~ Treatment Coordinator/Assistant Cari has been around dentistry for 15 years. She graduated from Lehi High School and has been married for 22 years and has three children. She enjoys water sports, working in the yard, and spending time with her family.
	Stephanie ~ Marketing Director/Hygiene Coordinator Stephanie is very happily married to her high school sweetheart, Jeremy. She recently graduated from Brigham Young University in Communications. Stephanie has a passion for traveling and visiting new places. She also loves spending time with her family and friends.
	Cindy ~ Financial Coordinator Cindy has been in dentistry for over 20 years. She is married to Jackson and has three children and six grandchildren. Cindy enjoys spending time with her family. She also enjoys golfing, 4-wheeling, reading, and of course dentistry.
	Julie ~ Financial Coordinator Julie has been around dentistry for 26 years. She is married and has one son. She enjoys spending time with her family, boating, health, gardening, traveling and vacationing. She has a new interest in four-wheeling. She is a part owner in a biotech company.
	Dee ~ Dental Hygienist Dee has a passion for dentistry. She loves to keep up-to-date on her dental knowledge through continuing education. She has been in the dental field for 15 years and has been a hygienist for five. She graduated from Brighton High School, then attended Salt Lake Community College and Utah Valley State College. She is married and has three children. She loves to camp, go bowling, water-ski, and spend time with her family.
	Jilene ~ Dental Hygienist Jilene has been in dentistry for over 25 years. She thinks her husband is the most incredible man in the world. She and her rockin’ husband are parents to four extremely smart, talented, active, awesome children--- Jake, Jenalyn, Juliann, Justin. She loves to play and laugh with her family and friends. She also enjoys swimming, biking, running, climbing, snowmobiling, skiing, riding jet skis, and just having a great time.
	Traci Grenny ~ Dental Hygienist Traci has been in dentistry for six years. She has six children. She enjoys cooking, rock climbing, traveling, gardening, snowmobiling, wakeboarding, hiking, camping, being outdoors, and spending time with her kids.
	Audry ~ Dental Assistant Audry has been involved in dentistry for over 17 years. She is married and has two dogs. She enjoys camping, hiking, writing, and swimming.
	Roxanne McCandless ~ Dental Assistant Roxanne has been in dentistry for 11 years. She is happily married and has three adorable girls.
	Ashley ~ Dental Assistant Ashley has been in dentistry a little over a year. She attended Careers Unlimited Dental Assisting School and is currently taking classes at UVSC working towards a degree in dentistry. Ashley enjoys traveling, hanging out with her friends and family, shopping, reading, writing, being outside and doing just about anything and everything.
	Jessa ~ Dental Assistant Jessa has been working in the dental field for four years. She loves to be around people, especially her wonderful husband, Doug. In her spare time Jessa loves to camp, spend time with her dog Koda, and decorate her new home.
